THE PURPOSE OF THIS WEBSITE

“The problem of police corruption cannot be met by seeking out the few “rotten apples” whose supposedly atypical conduct is claimed to be sullying the reputation of an otherwise innocent department. The underlying problem is that the climate is inhospitable to attempts to cover up acts of corruption and protective of those who are corrupt. The rookie is faced with the situation where it is easier for him to become corrupt than to remain honest.”
The Knapp Commission Report January 1972

I am at present new at computer technology and cellphones — in the meantime, just remember you “don’t shoot the messenger”, and that it will take you one, one thousandth of the time to read this as it took me to put these documents together — so give me a little grace. Also, if you don’t want the truth don’t read these documents — put them down now. I haven’t ordered you read them, I merely asked you to peruse them and make up your own mind of what they purport to say and not what I’m telling you to believe. I’ll give you the respect or credit that you can figure that out on your own.

From paying attention to what I’ve been observing most of my adult life and years in uniform, that most of you can’t tell your ass from a hole in the ground; “Ahhhhh, did I upset you prissy little people?” Then get over yourselves. You that live in a bubble, come on out and join the working people of my country, my Canada, my home!

I call them the women and men who built this country. Those that work in the mud, the blood and the beer and not in a bubble in Ottawa. If I offended you in what I’m saying get over yourselves, it’s not about you! And if you are offended by my writing then I am only speaking the truth then there’s something you need to deal with. Not me! I’m okay, are you okay? If you hesitate when you say you are then tell your face that.

I want to tell you that on my time on this good earth there are three kinds of people, those who “make things happen”, those who “watch things happen”, those who “wonder what happened”. Which one are you?

In a continuation on the above thought we all have three kinds of life. A public life, a private life, a secretive life. Which one is causing you the most problems and still does? Which one causes you to not to stand up for someone in your life? Which you know you should have. Was it because of some secret you have not dealt with? Or are you afraid someone will find out? Will you hide so that secret will not come out; how are you enjoying your life now? Why don’t you want to live while you’re alive, who makes the decisions in your life?

As long as we do not have the capacity to be honest with ourselves then how can we be honest with any one else? Most important to me is the capacity to laugh at ourselves, if we can simply do that, then no one else can ever bother us.

In these documents, I’m going to tell you who “I am”, so if I’m not afraid to tell you who I am don’t be afraid to tell me who you are. “What’s the matter, cat got your tongue?” As I said if you don’t want the truth, don’t read these documents. Just remember, “curiosity killed the cat!”

There will be jokes in this blog. I’ve put them here so reading about the dark times will be easier for you. There are quotes, of which I will acknowledge every person who has said them, not to make you feel fuzzy and warm but to make you ‘think’. And when you’re done thinking about them, then stand up, grow up, speak up about what’s in these documents.

Further down in these 1400 (fourteen hundred) documents it will become very emotional for me, I told you I’m going to tell you who I am, who Don Matheson is. I will not use a family down the road or families that I know about in the cities. I don’t want to hear you prissy people say that’s not fair Don, or just. I believe fair and just in the society we live in today do not exist. So if it can happen in my family it has already happened in yours.

I’m going to talk to you about my personal experiences, about death, life, sickness, the disabled, the poor, the homeless, suicide, infanticide, rape, being molested. The pathetic state of feeling sorry for oneself after being told “you’ll never walk again”. You can keep your legs, however you’ll never use them again.

About marriage, divorce, custody and access. I put my feet to the ground and I didn’t just talk the talk, I walked the walk in 1984 from Calgary to Montreal then over to Ottawa in a walk called “Miles for the Child — Children of Divorce” a distance of 3200 miles (5400 kms).

The sign on my property is a SIGN, not a billboard! I’ve chosen to put out those messages with no compensation. This is not for me, Public, this is for you! So, if you want to bitch and complain you’ll be talking to the wrong person. I want your input on my documents….you are important and you matter. So, on the reply form I’m eager to see your responses and your opinions and your name and if you have a photo, please include that, too.

If my second wife was living on this farm today that sign would not have been allowed to go up. On some correspondence you will read Patricia on there. She has no say in these documents so keep her out of this. I’ve asked her to step off however as of now she has not.

Just so you don’t freak out when you see a picture of the author of this blog, the face you are looking at does not show age, it’s called wear and tear.

If pain is a teacher, then I should be a full-fledged professor.

I also wear a pink beard and pink moustache. And I shall die with it on until bullying, intimidation ceases, especially in our schools “pink shirt day” February 26, all across Canada. The colour is an anti-bullying symbol for children.

I am a former RCMP officer and some of the biggest bullies in Canada are in my outfit, they are called Mounties. I have grey and black in my beard, it’s supposed to look like hot pink as couple of young school girls asked me to do that colour and because of the grey and black in dying it comes up as a harsh pink. “Isn’t bullying harsh?”

I have been called a “faggot” eight times in Salmon Arm and I’m not even gay, not that there’s anything wrong with that. I was asked if it bothered me. Compared to my experiences in life, “no it does not! It is the society we live in“.

I used to teach literacy in two schools in the Salmon Arm region. By the way, MacLean’s Magazine stated out of the top ten places to live in BC, Salmon Arm is number one. Are there good people in Salmon Arm? “Yes, there are. If Salmon Arm is number one what the hell does 2 to 10 look like?”

A couple of months later, in our local paper, the Salmon Arm Observer, we learned that there are Norway Rats and Roof Rats. When I was asked in an interview about the rats, my comments were, “what, we now have four legged ones?

Our Governments are there to serve you, the Public, our Courts are there to serve you, the Public, our Police Services are there to serve you, the Public. Unless we turn this around, 180°, as it was when I joined the RCMP, nothing will change. Those three organizational structures are never going to change — it is up to you, the Public, not to merely ask for change but to demand it!

Not through violence, or flipping over and torching police cars, breaking government building windows but through large peaceful demonstrations. You, the Public have the power; it’s within you, it’s within all of us. “So, get your heads out of your asses, stand up, speak up, this is your Canada, your country, your home!

IT DOES NOT BELONG TO THEM!
WHO’S THEM?

The establishment. It belongs to you, the people, for the people, by the people and of the people.

“ALL LIVES MATTER – WE ALL BLEED RED”

“OUR CHILDREN HAVE ONLY ONE CHILDHOOD”

So, step up, be part of the people who do, not talk, talk, talk. As my late mother would say, don’t talk, talk, talk, show me your deeds.

My Mother’s story, and my Aunt Avis’s, are in here. They came to Canada at age 8 and 11. Part of over 130,000 children from Great Britain, the Barnardo Homes, the “HOME CHILDREN”, also called “CHILD LABOUR IMMIGRATION MOVEMENT”. They were forced to do laborious tasks no child should ever be asked to do.

The year my Mother and Aunt arrived was 1911- all alone with a steamer trunk. The descendants of the Home children, in Canada now number 4.5 million.

Yet our government(s) have never apologized to them.

I will discuss the gay movement, the high rates of suicide amongst our children, our police officers, rape of our children, high level of sexual harassment and physical violence towards all women; in particular, our children and female police officers.

I was fined $25.00 for wearing a two-toned coloured shirt in civvies as a young Mountie“, because it was ‘too flashy’. (More to follow later).

Yet a male member of the RCMP today can sexually assault a female officer and nothing happens to him. No wait a minute, they will promote him. “IT’S NOT THE RCMP I JOINED!

I’m not out to tear down the Force, I just want change, and in order to do this I have to go after the Force. Tell me, when you renovate your home, and do the upper floor, do you leave the mold in your basement?  We have to remove all the rot and corruption!

In the areas I worked as a young police officer it covered 17 reservations, you cannot tell me I don’t know what I’m talking about. The RCMP and the Indians are alike. They want to blame everyone else except themselves for their problems. “We all say today ‘Enough is Enough’, today the phrase has become ‘Push has come to push back!’ ”

I will clarify more fully my comments in these documents and you are not going to believe what you read. But if an “old Mountie” (based on my regimental number I’ve been characterized as ‘ancient’!), can’t say it who the hell is going to?

I have full respect for the Natives when I say “Indians”, explanation further down. By the way, the “sign on my property” was put up by five Indians, my friends for many years. And during the work period when putting up the sign (photos posted on the site) I never heard the words Indigenous or gay pride, but I shared a lot of good humour and common-sense expressions. If I used any other word than “Indian”, my friends said “Who the hell are you talking about! We’re Indians Don!”

I have a saying that is true and heartfelt “you can choose your friends, but you can’t pick your relatives”. A true story of how families divide happened to mine in my sister-in-law’s home prior to Christmas 2018. You don’t have to remind me I will be sure to tell you. It’s under the heading “The Cat’s Ass”.

Further to you men in the RCMP it’s directed to all of you. There’s a song titled, Poison Ivy, one line says, “you can look but you better not touch so hands off! guys, it’s not your body!”
